In accordance with the decision of the Supervisory Board of the National Depository Center of Azerbaijan dated 7 January 2026, Elchin Agamammad oglu Alizade was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Depository Center.

This new appointment is expected to further strengthen institutional governance at the National Depository Center, support the dynamic development of the financial markets, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Central Depository’s strategic objectives.

Elchin Alizade was born on 30 July 1986 in Baku. Mr. Alizade graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations in 2007 and a Master’s degree in the same field in 2009. 

He began his professional career in 2007 at PASHA Bank as a Specialist in the Operations and Control Department. From 2009 to 2019, he held various positions at Ernst & Young Azerbaijan.

From June 2020, Mr. Alizade served as Director of the Financial Management Department at PASHA Bank.

Since September 2022, he worked as Director of the Internal Audit Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In February 2023, he was elected Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan, and in 2025, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Compulsory Insurance Bureau” Union of Legal Entities.

From March 2023 to January 2026, Mr. Alizade served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Depository Center.
