1986: Born in Baku, Azerbaijan.

2007: Graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations.

2007: Began his professional career in the financial sector, serving as a Specialist in the Operations and Control Department at "PASHA Bank" OJSC.

2009: Obtained his Master’s degree in International Economic Relations from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

2009–2019 – Held progressively senior positions at Ernst & Young Azerbaijan, including specialist, senior specialist, team leader, manager, and senior manager.

2020 (June): Served as the Director of the Financial Management Department at "PASHA Bank" OJSC.

2022 (September): Appointed Director of the Internal Audit Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

2023 (February): Appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Compulsory Insurance Bureau.

2023 (March) – 2026 (January): Served as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Depository Center.

2025: Elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Compulsory Insurance Bureau" Union of Legal Entities.

2026 (7 January): In accordance with the decision of the Supervisory Board of the National Depository Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elchin Alizada was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Depository Center
