By decision of the Supervisory Board of the National Depository Center(NDC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 14, 2026, Nagi Nagiyev has been appointed as a member of the Management Board of the National Depository Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Born in 1995 in Baku, Nagi Nagiyev received his higher education in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. From 2013 to 2016, he studied at City University London under the "Investment and Financial Risk Management" program, earning a bachelor's degree in finance. Continuing his education at the same university, in September 2017 Nagi Nagiyev obtained a master's degree in "Project Management, Finance and Risk."
From 2018 to 2023, he pursued doctoral studies at University College London, earning a PhD degree.
In 2020, Nagi Nagiyev interned as a financial analyst at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, based in London, United Kingdom. That same year, he began his professional career as a market risk analyst at SOCAR Trading. From 2022 to 2023, he worked at the London Metal Exchange, expanding his professional experience in international financial and commodity markets.
Nagi Nagiyev continued his career at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan starting from August 2023. From August 2023 to June 2024, he worked as a leading specialist in the Capital Market Policy and Regulation Department of the Central Bank. From June 2024 to July 2026, he served as head of the Supervision Methodology Division within the same department.
He is married with three children.
